09:05 am - Paris Twitterings So much more amusing now that I have my clothes back:
- 4 minutes until online check-in 8:22 PM Mar 27th, 2008 from web

- a missing twittering is probably that our bags are stuck in london heathrow T5 along with 28000 others - half of scotland is naked right now 5:30 PM Mar 31st, 2008 from web
- the good news from american express: even if you do get your bags back after 21 days, they must reimburse you up to $2000 per bag! 10:53 AM Apr 1st, 2008 from web

09:52 am - Selling my condo If any of you know someone who is looking to buy a home in the 270 corridor, my Germantown condo is for sale. The asking price is 220k, which is probably a good 15% below the peak bubble price.
More pictures are coming.

01:25 pm - Renn Fest Garb for sale Since many on the FList are MD Renn Fest fans, I thought I would inform you that I'm selling my garb since I doubt my waist will ever be 35" again:
Wee Kilt Ranger Shirt Sporran & Belt
If you've been paying attention, you may also notice that I haven't made it to the RF since 2005 -- not on purpose just too busy!

06:11 pm - What are you doing with your tax rebate? Causing Global Warming, apparently.
"We will be spending our rebate check installing a chimney in our three-year-old home so that we can cut and burn wood from our five acres. We are [hoping to save] on our oil bill next winter."
"and we bought a new lawn tractor."

01:56 pm Wired says LiveJournal is dead.
It really is like reading the mainstream media 6 months in the future, isn't it?
This probably means Microsoft is 3 years from launching a livejournalling solution. Their blog and wiki modules in SharePoint 2007 hurt my everything.

Very didactic, clear and objective, with certainty it will join value to my projects.

02:06 pm - Dell Store I went to the Dell Store in Dallas last week. It is not as lame as I thought it would be. I thought they would basically take the Apple Store concept and fill it with blue polo-shirts & khakis, rich mahogany & brushed nickel finishes. No mahogany, and button-downs, but yes, brushed nickel & khakis.
They are trying to sell Zunes and HDTVs, but with an Apple Store just downstairs filled with cute products and cute people, it's an entirely different world.

05:57 pm - meme 1. My username is nongamer because I don't like role playing games.
2. My journal is titled billy joel cares not about such triflings because billy joel is in ur ministry of truth, fuxoring ur human rights.
3. My subtitle is oh, calamity is there no way out because my wife seems to think that i'm losing my sanity.
4. My friends page is called friends because i do not have lj ninja skills.
5. My default userpic is giant food premium beer because i long for the simpler, earth-toned times of the 1970s when each city had its own awful brand of beer in a flat-top, pull-tab can.

04:49 pm - M&M color palette M&M/mars needs to start selling "classic" or "vintage" M&Ms that include tan, and remove blue and red. I swear the color impacts the taste. What's worse is that the red dye is banned in Europe! Red and Blue M&Ms cause cancer!*
Correct color palette of tastyness:
* An interesting fact is that the reds disappeared in 1976 because of a "perceived" risk associated with a dye not actually used in M&Ms.

11:35 pm - Meme from crushjunky is spot on
</form> Northeastern. You're probably from somewhere near New York City, possibly north Jersey, or Connecticut or Rhode Island. If you are from New York City you may be one of the types who people never believe when you say you're from New York. Take this quiz now - it's easy!
Even as a freshman in college most people were surprised that I am from Long Island. I always thought this was because my dad is from western Pennsylvania, but there are a number of words I say differently than him (such as route and thanksgiving)

10:12 am - Twitter Twitter is now on the Websense blocklist. So no twitterings from NIH people for the time being. Probably forever, because there is no conceivable legitimate use for twitter.
In other news, I have returned from Europe. See peepitude for the official Flickr link once she decides the captions are done.
